Parkour is nothing but a term used for running rapidly through an area by eliminating the various obstacles in the journey. Below are some of the popular running games.

Free Running

This game was developed by Rebellion Developments and released in the year 2007. As the name indicates, the player can run freely in the given environment and cross the obstacles by jumping, climbing and more. It runs on PlayStation 2.

Mirror’s Edge

This game was developed by EA DICE and released in the year 2008. In this game, the player plays the role of the character named Faith who delivers messages to various places bypassing government surveillance by running over roof tops, climbing walls and more. The game is available for platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Windows phone, iOS and more. The latest version of this game was released on 2016 and is named as Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.

Prince of Persia

There are many versions of this available and the first one was released in 1989. It is available for various platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, iOS, Nintendo and more. In this game, running is developed in a elegant manner in such a way that running over the walls looks very natural and linear.

Ninja Gaiden

Ninja Gaiden is a very popular video game developed by a Japanese company named Tecmo. This game uses a lot of free running, climbing, jumping and more. The latest version of this game is named as ‘Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z’ and released in 2014. The game is available for all the popular platforms like PlayStation, Nintendo and Xbox.
